I have been networking since December 2009 with the Best of Business Networking group in Rawtenstall. I wish someone had told me about this earlier! Networking is a great way to get connected with like minded business people and make long term relationships where business can be passed. Some network groups are very formal and stuffy and much pressure is put on you to deliver referrals every week. Not here, yes there is a structure but the meeting is very comfortable and no problem in over running your 60 seconds or with asking questions etc. Business is passed and that is the point, to be in an environment where you can work with people at your own level. I would recomend anyone to come along as a visitor and see for themselves.

The Best of Business Networking Group has been a significant addition to the ways that I promote my business in the area and has already resulted in a number of new contacts and additional work. It has also provided a number of spin off benefits that are not always immediately apparent. For instance thinking about how to promote your company on a weekly basis helps you to constantly think about the business itself, rather than just work within the business. Talking to like minded business owners at the meetings helps you to realise that there are other people working through similar problems and issues. The act of discussing them in itself helps me to find solutions. Our new venue at Annie Peaches is fantastic, the food is great and the scones in particular something to be seen. We have a fun but productive meeting and it is a great way to start a Thursday. Thanks for the hard work in organising the meeting every week.

I have been a member of the Best of Business networking group for only a few months. When I attended the first meeting I was made to feel very welcome. Everyone was warm and friendly and I immediately felt at ease. There is however the serious side, which is the main reason we all get up early on Thursday mornings, this is to pass business to other members of the group and gain business for ourselves. Although having been a member for a short time I have already had quite a few referrals, which has been great for building up my business. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Best of Rossendale networking group. The members are great, it’s a great way to build up your business and make new contacts, the breakfast provided by Duncan is great and as well as its serious side it’s a great laugh too.

first joined the Best of Business networking in Nov 09 and although I would consider myself as quite a chatty and confident person, the thought of standing up and speaking out to other business members was quite daunting. The reality is, that the group are very relaxed and informal, whilst still being professional and they go out of their way to make each other feel comfortable.
